Lightly dip you fingers in the melted soy wax and apply to hands, you then have the BEST lotion you have ever used with shea and cocoa butter and triple refined certified Asutralian EMU oil and the warm lotion feels wonderful on your hands. Superb for cracked dry skin and eases hurting hands with its warmth.
If you have used lotion after lotion with little to no benefit, you must try this! One cube lasts for about a week using it daily as a lotion. Soy wax is green, clean burning, and melts at a lower temperature than regular wax, no fear of buring yourself, just don't touch the bowl of the burner, it's hot! No wick to sully the wax lotion. Dye free! When possible pthlalate free fragrance oils or essential oils used, only skin safe ratios used. The best way to use this is to let it melt, blow out the tea light, or turn off the electric burner, let cool for a minute then dip away! Sounds like a cool product! How'd you come up with this idea?
Hey Heather! Thank you. Several years ago I won a soy lotion massage candle, and while I loved the lotion and the heat was so nice on my hurting hands, the wick put dirty soot in the candle, yuck! I did a lot of research and decided to make these tarts, getting rid of the ugly soot problem and eliminating any danger from a flame wick. I found a couple of people on the net that made these so I knew it could be done and finally found a recipe for soy massage candles that could be adapted to tarts. Massage candles get too hot and can burn, these are made from low temp melting soy which are much safer. I exchanged quality emu oil for one of the oils and have come up with these. They make your skin SO soft. They are so soothing on arthritic hands too. I've been testing them for a couple of months, they passed with flying colors and my testers love them and are amazed. Later I will offer them with an exotic vegetable butter instead of emu oil for those who want no animal products, but emu oil cannot be beat for its skin qualities.
These do sound really cool! I definitely want to get one of the vegan ones. I love lotions and moisturizers!
Hey Patrice! How are you? I do want to offer them in Vegan, but the emu oil adds an especially wonderful skin benefit and I am looking at alternatives but they are too pricey. the best is kombo butter, incredible skin healing properties like emu, but YIKES, it is $20 for 4 ounces. I would be glad to make a couple with almond oil for you instead of emu oil, if you are interested, convo me via Etsy. They would be $3 less. I may add that option to my listing since you bring it up. Thank you!
Wow, those are such a cool idea! Two birds with one stone!
thanks Niki!
